Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Legal Assistant ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Legal Assistant is built around a private, single-tenant model: your legal documents live on infrastructure you control, not in a shared multi-tenant cloud.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Billing information — processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive subscription status and the last four digits of your card, but we do not store full card numbers.
- Documents and content you create or upload — the companies, templates, contracts, signatures, and records you generate or import. These are stored on your private instance or dedicated device.
- Usage and diagnostic data — limited technical logs (such as error reports and request metadata) used to operate and improve the service.
3. The private-instance model
Your instance runs on a private virtual server, or on a dedicated device you physically control. Your documents are isolated to your instance and are not commingled with other customers' data. On the dedicated-device plan, your legal store lives entirely on your hardware and need not leave the box.
4. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service.
- To process subscriptions and the dedicated-device order.
- To respond to support requests and send essential service notices.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical problems and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your documents to train third-party models.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the service (for example, payment processing and infrastructure hosting), and only to the extent needed to perform those functions. We may also disclose information where required by law.
6. Data retention
By design, executed documents form a permanent, never-deletable record on your instance so that your legal history stays audit-ready. You control retention of your own store. If you close your account, we delete the account and billing data we hold within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the single-tenant architecture is designed to minimize exposure.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email team@bytefuture.ai.
9. Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Children
Legal Assistant is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
